“ First of all, I'd say this is overall a real good and proper cafe! Highly recommended for you guys that are looking for a spot or new cafe to vibe! However, it's such a shame that I can't try their coffee because of an electrical issue (visit this cafe on 21 march). As I believe their coffee should be their main highlight. Will for sure visit this cafe again in near future! I order their milo coconut and I'd say it's a solid good drink. ”

“ Went on sunday and it was crowded. Lucky can find table for 4 indoor (no smoking, but vape / iqos is permitted). Have to go to the cashier to choose what menu you’ll have and after you pay, you’ll get a table number which you bring to your table. Foods n drinks will then be served to you (quite like a fastfood stall system) Food was ok, good, not the best but also not bad. Though the tacos surprised us it was nothing like the picture in the menu. Overall good. Place is nice but a littleee bit dark. ”
“ The good: - Relatively affordable compared to other cafes (Rp. 60.000 for pastas, Rp. 40.000 for Tapas, Rp. 30.000 for drinks ) - Cool aesthetic and designs - In general, the taste and flavor of the food is good 1. Pulled Beef Taco [4/5] - Gotta admit, I did not expect myself to enjoy a taco in Medan as much as I did from Casu Grounds. The spiciness and burst of flavor is on point. They also provided plastic glove for eating the taco 2. Melted Butter Mushrooms with Espresso Sauce on Clamshell Pasta [3/5] - Not going to lie, it sounds gimmicky and it does tastes gimmicky to me. Your miles may vary but this dish is definitely not for me. I don’t feel like the sauce, ingredients and the pasta mesh well. The bitterness of the espresso is not neutralized by anything. In one bite, you get a burst of bitter butter that feels like you eating butter and coffee separately, while on another bite, you feel like you are eating coffee and pasta flour separately. Again, YMMV 3. Seafood Napolitan [4/5] - Ordered this for the kids and I definitely enjoyed this more than the melted butter pasta. It’s still too sweet for me but I can definitely enjoy it when I am hungry and my blood sugar is low. The kids loved it as well. The bad (Something that they can fix): - The service is good enough but the servers are not exactly friendly with their deadpan stares or looking at their personal phone while taking my order. This is not a big deal tho because I am not there to hang out with them. As long as they get me what I need, hey, more power to them. - Bad, bad, bad ventilation. The indoor smells like IQOS because the smoking area (only IQOS is allowed) is in the middle, sandwiched by two indoor area, and the indoor area at the time when I came (12 pm on Saturday) smells like stale IQOS smoke. - While their facade and decoration looks good, it feels like they do not pay enough attention to small details. Some examples are: 1. I noticed their tissue holder is dusty and pretty dirty 2. The toilet is smells of room freshener, but you can smell the underlying dirtiness and when I was there, the toilet paper roll is wet. 3. Their choice of silverware. I know this is nitpicking, but for a cafe that spends so much time on decor, vibes and look, why are you using “depot” style silverware??? Invest in some better looking silverware! Small detail matters when it comes to the overall dining experience. 4. The food presentation and the way they give the utensils to the table. Please don’t wrap your utensils in a table tissue or a toilet paper looking tissue. It does cheapens your brand (I am not saying your brand is cheap, but you are giving me the impression) The Ugly (Something that just Can’t be Fixed): - None that I see. Honestly everything just feels too rough around the edges, but definitely fixable TL;DR: - Food is good. - Price is in the affordable area. - Some cleanliness and presentation issue needs to be paid attention to. - A lot of potential but it’s too rough around the edges I really hope I just came at a bad time because I truly want to like them, because I do enjoy their food. That’s why I give them a 4 stars (I was thinking a 3 star). I shall finalize my review the next time I come. ”
